The pediatric oncohematology department of the Kyiv Oncology Dispensary
In July 2024, the pediatric oncohematology department of the Kyiv Oncology Dispensary received six infusion pumps for the prolonged, dosed, and controlled administration of solutions and medications. These pumps are essential for chemotherapy, as it is crucial to administer medications timely in relation to one another, significantly improving treatment outcomes. Therefore, each individual device increases the chances of success for each individual patient.
Aid to Kherson with HopeKeeper Foundation
With funds granted by ASVUC, SA2U’s aid partner HopeKeeper Foundation was able to complete several humanitarian aid projects in the Kherson region following the destruction of the Kakhovka dam and ensuing flooding in June 2023. The impact of these projects on the lives of over 5,000 people has been enormous. Aid Partner: Hopekeeper Foundation Region: Kherson, Mykolaiv Aid provided: Basic humanitarian aid such as sleeping bags, pillows, food, 15 motor pumps to remove water, paying off of electricity debt of IDP shelter, 5 blood and plasma storage refrigerators, 2 water pumpt to provide clean drinking water Beneficiaries: Over 5,000 residents
VAC Supplies for Hospitals with SpunBond
With funds granted by ASVUC, the SpunBond Charity Foundation, which specializes in medical aid to Ukrainian clinics and hospitals, purchased urgently needed supplies for life-saving VAC devices for three Ukrainian hospitals in Kyiv, Uzhgorod, and Khmelnytskyi. Vacuum-Assisted Closure (VAC) devices are essential in expediting wound healing and reducing hospitalization time. Generator for Senior Home with Nasha Peremoga
With funds granted by the Association for the Support of Victims of the Ukraine Conflict (ASVUC), Ukrainian NGO Nasha Peremoga funded the purchase of a generator and fuel for 50 residents and 30 staff members of a home for the elderly and disabled in the village of Peremoha, Kyiv Oblast. Kherson Aid with Ilona Malytska
Ilona Malytska, SA2U’s most trusted supporter in the Odessa and Kherson regions, distributed aid together with her team and husband to IDPs and low-income families living near the front lines in Kherson. The funds were generously granted by the Association for the Support of Victims of the Ukraine Conflict (ASVUC). Aid Partner: Ilona Malytska, Volodymyr Malytskyi and team Region: Kherson Aid provided: Winter aid such as generators, wood-burning heaters, gas burners, blankets, food, medicine Beneficiaries: IDP shelter, 300 residents of Kherson front line regions, further Kherson residents; over 500 people total This Kherson region is in an especially vulnerable position.
Warmth and light with DobraDia
SA2U supported aid partner DobraDia with the purchase of generators and power stations to provide warmth and power for hospitals and centers for people with disabilities in the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions. Helping children in Odesa with Kviten
With funds generously granted by the Association for the Support of Victims of the Ukraine Conflict (ASVUC), SA2U helped its Swiss-based aid partner Kviten Association purchase medicine for children undergoing intensive care at the Odesa Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital. The medicine was purchased from a local distributor in Dnipro, Ukraine. The ASVUC Foundation continues its work and assistance to Ukraine. The foundation funded the purchase of two rapid-response vehicles and a defibrillator. These ambulances are already saving lives in the most perilous regions of the country. We also extend our gratitude to our partners from the Netherlands for coordinating the purchase and delivery of these ambulances.
